Canada and Croatia met in the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Alphonso Davies got an early start by scoring a goal for Canada in the 2nd minute. Croatia would respond in a BIG way with two goals from Andrej Kramaric, a goal from Marko Livaja and a goal from Lovro Majer. Croatia won 4–1, marking only the second time they have scored four goals in a World Cup match.

2′ – That was fast!

Canada came out breathing fire. In the opening moments, striker Alphonso Davies headed in for the first goal of the match to give Canada the early 1–0 lead and its first ever World Cup goal.

26′ – Goal cancelled

Croatia thought to tie the score as striker Andrej Kramaric sliced ​​and dice his way to a successful score but the goal was disallowed as offside.

36′ – This one counts!

Ten minutes after a goal was disallowed for offside, Kramaric was able to score Croatia’s first goal of the day and bring the game to a draw.

44′ – Change lead

There’s a lot of electricity in this one. Shortly after coming on the board, Croatia took the lead as striker Marko Livaja floated in his second goal. Croatia led 2-1 at halftime.

49′ – A little wide

Canada scored in the blink of an eye to start the game, but it’s been a battle to score ever since. In the beginning of the second half it had the chance to do that, but midfielder Jonathan Osorio’s shot went a little to the left.

54′ – Stay close

Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan kept the deficit to one goal with a brilliant save.

70′ – The Kramaric Show

Kramaric sneakily scored a goal on the left side of the net for his second score of the game. It gave Croatia a two-goal lead.

90+4′ – Another one for the record

Croatia got a quick break and scored another goal. Lovro Majer’s breakaway goal, which was assisted by Mislav Orsic, gave Croatia a 4–1 lead, which would become the final score.
