Check out our Healer Tier List for Dragonflight.
Updated: November 22, 2022 4:04 PM
Dragonflight is the new WoW expansion and it’s almost here, so we’ve got our healer level list to help you decide how to spec your new healer character.
The wide variety of specializations in WoW makes it difficult to know exactly which direction to go if you want to help your party the best it can.
Read on to find out which specializations best suit your role as a healer.
Dragonflight Healer level list
When it comes to healers in WoW, Dragonflight has completely turned the old row lists on its head. Part of the reason for this is a new class, Evokers, which is not only the first new ranged-DPS class in the game since launch, but also doubles in the role of a healer.
This has changed things up a bit, but there are no surprises in guessing how high the new class might end up on the list.

We’ve listed each of the best specializations below and given our reasons for placing them where they are on the list.
S+ Rank – Preservation Evoker
It may take you a while to get used to some of the class’s abilities, but the Preservation Evoker is incredibly powerful when it comes to reviving and healing your allies, and isn’t too slow at defending itself either.
You also have an insane amount of healing options and can aid the party in battle when your healing is not required. Win win. Keep in mind that these new empowerment-type spells require you to hold down the shortcut, which you’ll need to do to get the most out of this class.
S Rank – Restoration Druid
This probably won’t come as a shock to someone who’s been playing WoW for a while, but the second best healer in Dragonflight is the Restoration Druid. This beast of a class used to be the butt of jokes because it was seen as OP in almost every role.
With the Restoration Specialization, the Druid becomes a very clumsy healer. They can survive quite well and in fact heal on demand. The bigger drawbacks here stem from the need to hit cooldowns and the complete lack of real damage compared to the Preservation Evoker.
A rank – Sacred Paladin
The Paladin class tends to be better at buffs and defense than pure healing, but if used correctly they can still be a good choice to fill the role of a healer in your party. The Sacred Paladin, in particular, is an excellent choice for any dungeon you’ve struggled in to keep your healer alive.
Like most Paladins, the Sacred Paladin is very hard to kill. Unlike most healers, they are likely to be the last member of your party left. That said, they suffer from reduced mobility which is a great factor when it comes to being in the right place to keep your party alive.

B Rank – Restoration Shaman
Among healers, recovery shamans have the most potential for versatility. They can handle most situations you want to put them in when it comes to healing, but they also tend to suffer a little in almost every other area.
Don’t expect them to add to your DPS during raids, but they do have the potential to keep you alive and fighting for much longer. They can spec for extra resurrections during combat, making them great for a glass cannon strategy party.
C rank – Holy Priest
While the Holy Priest still suffers from the above mobility issues, they have fantastic utility in healing a number of players at once. The problem is that getting everyone in an ideal position to actually cast their best spells can be tricky.
On the plus side, Holy Priests often have the most use when it comes to dealing with strange types of damage or strange situations that need to be dealt with. As long as you play them as a toolkit and apply each ability just right, they’re certainly a viable class to use, even in mythical + dungeons.
D Rank – Mistweaver Monk
The Mistweaver Monk sometimes gets a bit of a bad rap when it comes to these lists. They’re a melee range-attack-focused healing class, and they do their best work while actually dealing damage to enemies.
That said, don’t count out the monks just yet. They already have great healing powers and there are some new modifications that give you even more options. The biggest drawback is that this specialization probably has the steepest learning curve on the list.
E Rank – Discipline Priest
There are probably people who are shocked by the Discipline Priest’s low ranking on the list, but hear me out on this one. The Discipline Preist has an absolutely terrible survivability, combined with poor movement capabilities, and you have disaster in your enemy’s path waiting to happen.
While the Discipline Priest can be pretty decent when it comes to dealing damage that heals your party, there is a huge downside. You have to stay very close to your enemies to deal damage, and with your poor survivability you need more healing than caring for others.
